Good morning Year 3!
Today you will be preparing for your Army Barracks Trip next week by creating your own instructions on how to get there by foot.

Remember, you must include a picture and a numbered list of instructions on how to get there!
What a fantastic end to the week: KS2 Sports Day. All week, the children had been competing in various challenges, representing their houses: tigers, cheetahs, leopards and lions. There was so much determination in all the children and most importantly – happy faces. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we couldn’t have ask for more.
The scores are currently being added up: on first glimpse, it looks very close. Could we have some new house champions. Watch this space…
We made models of clothes for the guests to wear at the royal wedding.
“I used pink, blue, gold and some string and some dark colours and rainbow colours.”
“We used gold paper to make the crowns.”
“I used red fluffy fabric for a dress and I used blue wool to attach some pink fluff.”
It was tricky how to get the arms in because you needed to put the manequins arm through.

Thursday was such a great day! Ten children from Years 3 and 4 travelled on a coach to Cranford and when we got there we went into a large, white dome. Inside, we took part in team activities like rugby, football, tennis, hockey and hurdles. We didn’t win but we had lots of fun! With us were Miss Jan East, Mr Hone and Darnell – who did the floss in front of all the people watching. Alana – Jade Class
On Thursday, I was chosen to go on school trip to Cranford Community College. We had so much fun! As well as taking part in all of the activities, the funniest part was when Darnell did the floss in front of all the people in the large dome. Jolie – Jade Class
On Thursday, Jolie, Alfie, Carl, Keaton, Ramal, Alannah, Cianna, Olivia, Maurice and me where chosen to go on a sports trip to Cranford Community Centre. I tried jumping over the hurdles and ran really fast during the races. We had lunch and then watched the final. We had so much fun. Jaylea – Green Class
This week the whole school have become polar explorers for STEAM Week.
Miss Thompson and Miss Hopkins organised activities to help us learn about the Arctic and support the polar explorers in their expedition.
It has been a really successful week and a great end to this half term!
The children have enjoyed being polar explorers and it has given them lots of motivation for future work!
Here are some photos of what the whole school got up too!
